AI-Assisted Software Engineering with Human Review
I use AI-assisted development tools for implementation, investigation, and repetitive work. The engineering responsibility remains mine: define the problem, review generated changes, run checks, debug failures, and make architectural decisions based on the product and codebase.

- Experience reviewing more than 1,500 full-stack projects informs my review habits.
Use AI as an implementation aid
AI tools can help explore unfamiliar code, draft routine changes, compare implementation options, and reduce repetitive work. They do not remove the need to understand the product requirement or the code being changed.
My workflow keeps a human engineer responsible for architecture, input validation, security boundaries, debugging, and verification. Generated code is treated as a proposal that must fit the repository, tests, runtime, and product behavior.
Verification is part of the work
OpenMate is a product example of this principle applied to AI itself. Model output is validated and grounded against real GitHub issues and repository paths. Deterministic logic owns details that should not be left to generated text.
My earlier work as a Microverse code reviewer, where I reviewed more than 1,500 full-stack projects, also shaped how I inspect code: look for correctness, maintainability, and whether the implementation actually meets the requirement.
