Node.js Developer in Morocco: APIs and Product Backends

I build backend functionality for web applications with Node.js, Express, and Next.js server-side routes. My work includes API behavior, data persistence, authentication boundaries, and integration with external services. I’m based in Meknes, Morocco, and work across the full application when needed.

At a glance

  • Built backend features using Express.js and Next.js API routes at DEVUP B.V.
  • Connected product APIs to Prisma and PostgreSQL.
  • Independent work includes server-side AI and GitHub API integrations.

Backend features that serve a product

Node.js is useful for product backends where the same language can support the application interface and server behavior. I have used Express and Next.js API routes to implement server-side features, connect persistence, and integrate external services.

At DEVUP B.V. my work included backend functionality using Express.js, Next.js API routes, Prisma, and PostgreSQL. This required more than writing handlers: the route behavior had to match the data model, authentication requirements, and user interface states.

Validation, persistence, and external services

A reliable endpoint should define what it accepts, what it changes, and how it reports invalid, unauthorized, missing, and successful outcomes. I pay attention to these response boundaries and to the difference between untrusted input and validated application data.

My independent projects also integrate services such as GitHub APIs, Supabase, Backboard, and Amazon Bedrock. External calls need explicit server-side boundaries so credentials are protected and errors can be handled without leaving the interface in an ambiguous state.
