Software Quality and Code Review Experience

I bring code review experience into my software engineering work. As a Microverse code reviewer, I reviewed more than 1,500 full-stack projects and gave developers actionable feedback on correctness, maintainability, and project requirements. I now build and review product code with the same focus on clarity and behavior.

Review as an engineering practice

At Microverse I reviewed more than 1,500 full-stack projects and provided asynchronous feedback to developers. The work required checking whether code met the requirements, whether the implementation was correct, and whether another developer could follow and maintain it.

Reviewing many different approaches also exposed recurring problems: unclear ownership of state, missing error handling, duplicated logic, and implementations that looked complete but did not satisfy the full requirement. I use those lessons when building features and reviewing changes.

Quality practices in product work

In my own applications I use types, runtime validation, explicit API responses, relational schemas, and automated checks where they reduce ambiguity or catch regressions. Quality is not a single tool or a claim that bugs do not happen; it is a set of practices that make problems easier to detect and changes safer to maintain.

Examples include grounding OpenMate's generated paths against repository data, modeling Rungset's user-owned records in a typed persistence layer, and integrating RobinReach frontend behavior with its existing Rails APIs.
