Overview

Problem and context

The existing product needed marketing and dashboard improvements inside an established Rails and JavaScript application, including closer implementation of Figma designs, clearer workflows, and faster frontend performance.

What was built

I contributed the marketing rebuild, dashboard workflow changes, more than five frontend features, Rails controller and API integrations, and targeted performance improvements. This was contribution work within the Robin Reach product—not an independently built platform.

My Contribution

  • Rebuilt the Figma-based marketing interface in the existing Rails and JavaScript application.
  • Redesigned dashboard workflows associated with higher daily active usage and shorter onboarding time.
  • Shipped 5+ frontend features and connected frontend behavior to Rails controllers and APIs.
  • Implemented performance improvements that reduced load time by approximately 45%.

Engineering

Working within the existing product architecture

Frontend changes stayed integrated with the Rails application, ERB views, JavaScript behavior, controllers, and API responses rather than introducing a separate frontend platform.

Responsive design implementation

Figma designs were translated into responsive marketing and dashboard interfaces that had to work within existing product behavior and backend boundaries.

Performance as product work

Load-time improvements were treated as part of the delivered user experience alongside feature and workflow changes, not as a separate visual redesign exercise.

Outcome

  • Marketing work contributed to approximately 40% higher engagement and 25% lower bounce rate.
  • Dashboard changes were associated with approximately 30% higher daily active usage and 20% shorter onboarding time.
  • Performance improvements reduced load time by approximately 45%.
  • Shipped 5+ frontend features integrated with the existing Rails product.
